| DJ PorkChop FAQ’s Q- How do I book your service? A- To book we ask you to do 4 steps by clicking on the links on our homepage: 1. Check Availability 2. Get Quote 3. Fill Out Contract 4.Pay Deposit Q. How do I contact you? A. (850) 624-4617 or DJPorkChop@msn.com Q. Can you provide music on the beach. A. Yes and no! -Yes we can provide music without power on the beach for ceremonies on a very small PA system. -No we cannot use our primary system on the beach without power. For small parties on the beach we can do it but without lighting and no guarantees as to how long without a power source. Try a couple of very long extension cords and we are there for the big show. Q- Do you carry an active liability policy? A- Gone is the day we carry this every year since the majority of venues already cover liability in their contract. If you have to have it then you may want to consider another venue because they probably don't have one either. Besides if we did have to get this we would be more expensive because the cost is always goes to the client. HOWEVER: If you desire one - We can get a limited $1M liability contract at a cost of $175 but you would have to coordinate that and pay in advance. Truth be told, there is only 1 venue that has required insurance from us out of over 200 different venues we have played. There are individual event liability policies and wedding policies for one event available online at discount prices. Please contact me and I will assist you with this if it is absolutely necessary. Q- What do we need to have ready for the DJ setup? A- Please have at least a 2'x 4' or a 2'x 6' table and 2 chairs for us as well as access to an active electrical outlet under a covered area. A tent, event umbrella or very large awning. Note: without this we cannot perform if it rains. Please consider large event tents if you are planning an all outdoor event. Also consider using outdoor heaters for winter events. Q- Do we need to add you to the guest list and/or get you a plate? A- Thanks for the offer but we don't have time nor do we consider it professional to eat at your event. If you really want to make DJPorkChop happy, you can get us a to go order. Q- We just want a party, do we have to do a planner? A- It’s your event, you don’t have to do a planner. It’s just a tool we offer so we can get your request list built and get an idea of what you want for your event. The only event we require a planner for is weddings, but we have done a wedding without one before. We just need to know your first dance request and we are ready for the Celebration. Q- Can we make request? A- Yes, we ask you to identify what songs you want in your event planner, we provide a login to the client area for you to plan. You can also build a music request list for you and your guest. Q- What genre do you play? A- What ever genre you request. This is your event so it is about what you want. We have experience in a multitude of Genre’s. Q- Can my guest make request? A- Yes, both at the event and prior to the event. If you want a guest request system just email s and we will set you up with a guest login and password. Let us know how many songs each guest can request. Q- Where do you travel to? A- Anywhere. As long as you pay our travel fee, and in some cases overnight fee, we will be there. Our Area of Operation is usually the Gulf Coast and Florida Panhandle. Truth be told, if you got the money, we have the time. Q. Do we get a discount if we don’t use the wedding officiate? A. The officiate is thrown in as a benefit, we usually charge an additional $100 for it but it does not increase your package price. It is a discount off your package. If you wish we can take out free officiate but we cannot discount it. We can substitute and additional lighting feature if you wish. Q. - We don’t want the lights do we get a discount for not using them? A. -OUR VIP package comes with at least 2 lighting features. If you choose not to use them that is up to you. We don’t nickel and dime discount or add on for using or not using certain things. If you want extra lights we do charge extra but two lighting effects are sufficient for the majority of events we perform. Q. Do you use Professional Equipment? A. YES! Please see our equipment page. Q. I forgot my password for my Client Access what do I do? A. You can email me and I will look it up and email you back. Q. How did you get the name PorkChop? A. Most would not believe me if I told them but that is for my clients to know and you to find out at the Party. See you there. Go to the booking link to get started. A- Yes, if there is availability and we must receive an additional deposit of $50. Your old deposit will be forfeited along with the contract. NOTE: Dates can only be changed prior to 4 weeks from your event date. If you are within the 4 weeks we require payment in full to book another date. In either case we will have to have a new deposit and contract. |
